How it works

  • Choose your level of support for the University of California (UC) and California State University (CSU) applications. We work with first-year freshman and transfer students.

  • Gather your information and send it to us using our UC/CSU information form.

  • Work with your BFE Advisor to complete and submit your application.

  • UC Application Review

    • One 90 minute face-to-face meeting to review your existing Personal Insight Questions topics or written PIQ essays.

    • Discuss your choice of major and schools.

    • Discuss how best to present your circumstances.

    The Application Review includes:

    Review of all Application material which is sent to BFE before the meeting through our UC/CSU APP REVIEW form.

    90 -minute meeting with advisor to review material and answer questions and concerns.

    Written summary of suggestions and feedback following the meeting.

  • Univeristy of California (UC) Application Support

    Complete support filling out the UC application from choosing a major, writing about your activities and revising your Personal Insight Questions

    This package includes up to 5 in-person(Zoom) meetings.

    Meeting 1: Reviewing the transcript and other information submitted prior to the meeting on your UC/CSU APP REVIEW form. Make a plan for choosing majors and information to include on the application

    Meeting 2: Writing and revising the activities for the UC app (ps. they are different from the Common App!)

    Meeting 3: Choosing topic and brainstorming ideas for the Personal Insight Questions

    Meeting 4: Revising and editing the Personal Insight Questions.

    Meeting 5: Reviewing and submitting the applications.

  • California State University (CSU) Application Support.

    One 60-minute meeting to review the application process and answer question and concerns. More meetings can be added as needed.

    The UC/CSU Information form should be completed prior to the meeting.

  • Combine any level of support for the UC and CSU applications and receive a 10% discount for each plan
