JESHA PREKOP
INTERDISCIPLINARY STUDIO ART CONSULTANT(MFA)
Jesha makes art that has no color and she loves baking. In Jesha's art, she chooses the ordinary to create the extraordinary. Mathematics, physics, and the internet influence her art making and bread baking. She is currently making a Taigi podcast with the intention of saving a dying language in Taiwan. She has exhibited in Taiwan, the US, and Finland.
With great understanding as an international applicant, she founded st(Art) admission counseling service to help art students. Jesha is a very good listener. Sometimes the counseling session feels more like therapy for the artist due to the length and depth she and her students go through together. She believes that providing Asian students with the ability to examine their own artistic progress, talk about it intelligently, and conduct independent research will contribute to their success at US schools.
Jesha and her husband travel back and forth between Pittsburgh and Taiwan, and she often hosts free portfolio review events in Taiwan. She believes the world would be a better place with more people making art and understanding art.
